One year experience PLLC Tango Reklama - Vilnius Litauen

Review. PLLC Tango Reklama, Vilnius

How long have you been working on our software?

With this new radio automation system, we are working for a year now.

In a search of a new radio automation system, we were choosing from several options. By the way, Digispot was not one of the favorites from the beginning. We had many expectations and disappointments, first systems we had tried looked attractive with wide functionality... but only on the paper and on the task crashed frequently. Stability and simplicity were the first properties that stood out while testing Digispot.

We were not using particular tools to import old database, although we knew these existed. We wanted to start from a blank.

Software configuration is not difficult. There are many subtle settings, which allows this software to be very flexible. Of course, some functions of Digispot are absent, although we understand that to implement them time is needed. Possibly the price of the Digispot system is influencing and it is attractive to the client.

Everyone has its own opinion. Absolute majority of our colleagues are pleased (or very pleased) with the new system. While using your software we forgot that it can hang, crash or restart itself abruptly. I am spitting over my left shoulder while typing it.

Support solves problems on the go and quickly including providing solutions for many non-standard tasks.

Yes, software is configured easily. Functions can be understood fast and intuitively if there is any experience working with similar software.

Relax FM in Vilnius has replaced its broadcasting system with the modern Digispot system!

On September 26, 2018, Relax FM in Vilnius switched its automation system to Digispot! Now Relax FM uses two DJin configurations: Air-X Live, two Media Planners, and DB Import. The DB Import application allows for the transfer of all necessary materials and audio elements from its old automation system and automates the import of audio files (music, jingles, news, ads) into the Media DB. Now the 4th station is on air, and the 5th station will be coming soon. June 2019.

NDR 90.3 has been broadcasting with DIGISPOT Smart Jingle Machine 4.0 (SJM) since April 10, 2018

“NDR 90.3” - On Air with the “Smart Jingle Machine 4.0”

Since April 10, 2018, “NDR 90.3” has been broadcasting with the Digispot® Smart Jingle Machine 4.0 (SJM) from R.Barth GmbH.

At the same time, NDR 90.3 also launched a brand-new, elaborately produced jingle package, for which, among others, the 60 musicians of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra re-recorded the NDR 90.3 signature tune in Germany’s most famous concert hall, the Elbphilharmonie.

As a basis and for deploying this new sound design, the crew at NDR 90.3 decided to go with the Smart Jingle Machine from Digispot® (distributed by R.Barth GmbH). It's a graphics-supported jingle player that allows you to design interfaces freely, which are then available to the hosts in the studios as a touchscreen interface.

These interfaces are created in the form of 'layouts,' which can contain an unlimited number of 'pages.' Each individual page represents the respective interface for the moderator. With the SJM editor, you have an easy and intuitive tool at your disposal that allows you to quickly create a broadcast-ready structure without needing much staff effort.

Here, the buttons are created directly on the “Pages” and linked to the corresponding audio files, which can then, for example, be started individually as a drop element or as a loop for a music bed by “touch”.

It's also possible to set up entire sequences where the elements can be triggered manually and in perfect timing with each other, or automatically in a set order.

The jingles aren't just faded in and out with the SJM; instead, they're swapped precisely on the beat, and you can set the allowed count within the beat as well as the BPM.

With the 'time-stretch function,' you can also adjust the audio elements in real-time during playback, even at different speeds.

This makes it possible, for example, to use a specific effect that needs to be played in rhythm for music beds at different speeds, without having to create it multiple times.

Thanks to the SJM's multitrack capability (multiple audio elements per button), it's also very easy to fine-tune the intensity and emotion of an element using the fader function. There’s no limit to the number of audio elements per button.

As soon as, for example, a new page is completed or an existing one is updated, it can be made 'OnAir-Ready' right away. In the studio, it will then be indicated that an update is available.

This can then, if desired, be loaded by the moderator themselves in seconds, even during the broadcast.

In the studio, the interface created in this way allows for easy and quick adjustments to the current broadcast situation, while also leaving plenty of room for creative and spontaneous 'driving'.
